Tamer Levent(actor, director, art director and writer)

He was born in 1950 in İzmir. He entered Ankara State Conservatory Theater Department with a level exam in 1971. He graduated from Ankara State Conservatory High Department in 1977. He worked at the State Theatre, first as an actor and then as a director.

On March 25, 1994, he became the General Director of State Theaters with an election with the first and last practice held at State Theaters. During this task, which he carried out until August 10, 1994, he realized the project "Yes to Art", which made a lot of noise in Turkey. He carried out theoretical and practical studies in line with the definition and dissemination of theater culture. He and Prof. Dr. İnci San started to work on drama and creative drama education in Turkey.

He taught ‘’creative acting’’ lessons at Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences, Eskişehir Anadolu University, New York University Department of Theatre, Berlin High School of Arts Department of Theatre, England Yorkshire Bretton Hall College and Warwick University.

He worked in committees and organizations where the principles of theatre meetings were established together with the European Parliament In Belgium, Luxembourg and Hungary. And he directed series of workshops.

Tamer Levent, who made long-term workshops in France and Tunisia and turned the results into a show, also carried out serials and dramas on radio and television. He made a live communication program with the audience in the program ‘’Gecenin İçinden/Inside The Night’’ on TRT Radio-1. He made documentaries about China and India.

He made the first Russian tour of the State Theaters with the play called ‘’Yeniden Yaratma/Recreation’’ which he staged. He did the directing and text work of the TV program choreographed by Binnaz Aydan for the ballet adaptation of the play ‘’House Of Bernarda Alba/Bernarda Alba'nın Evi.’’

Tamer Levent is also the Turkey Representative of the FIA (International Federation of Actors). He was a board member of IATA (International Amateur Theater Association).

Tamer Levent, who is the General President of TOBAV (State Theater Opera and Ballet Employees Foundation) in addition to his acting and directing works, started drama studies at the Art Institution Experiment Stage, which he founded in 1984.

In addition to these works, he took role in the series and films of "Love Again, Ertuğrul 1890, Brave and Beautiful, Bride from Istanbul, Cicero". Today, hhe continues to act with the TV series "Girl in the Glass". He also took a role in Turkey's first one-man movie "TEK", which was set on the set in 2022.
